Husband and I headed up the mountain to Idyllwild for Easter with the In-laws. Because we live in LA, and LA has a way of trapping you inside it with gridlocked traffic, we left at 6am on Easter Sunday to avoid traffic. We were successful. Our first stop before heading to husband's father's home on a cliff was the Red Kettle for breakfast. It's just your typical family owned diner, and my spinach, mushroom and jack cheese egg white omelet was solid. I was also impressed with the fresh fruit (it was actually fresh). Nice garnish, too.
Husband's scrambled eggs. He past on the fruit and stole one piece of my sourdough toast (I ate the other one, which I normally never do, and this was the beginning of my bread filled day).
Don's eggs, bacon and potatoes. Potatoes were cooked properly (another breakfast dive rarity).
Denise's egg muffin with cheese and fruit. We all ate light because we knew what was coming...
Easter workout: we woke up at 5am and did workout 1 and workout 2 of Jillian Michael's 30 shred DVD.
