Chocolate Green Monster

Husband got a chocolate green monster for lunch. Here's what went in:

2 cups spinach
1/2 avocado
1 large frozen banana
1 cup frozen cherries
2 Tablespoons vanilla rice protein powder
2 Tablespoons chia seeds
2 Tablespoons cashew butter
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Cocoa bean extract
Vanilla stevia

Galldarnit if this didn't taste JUST like a chocolate shake. Probably had the same amount of calories but with loads of nutrients, protein and healthy fat. And no sugar or dairy. Happy husband.

Although he did get very snackey in the late afternoon. I guess having a shake for lunch is kind of a mind trip.

  1. Yum. That looks great and looks so thick. Maybe it's the chia seeds? I just FINALLY picked up some for this first time, so now I'll make sure I try them in my shakes.
