Bison, Veggie Au Gratin and Cherry Crumbler

This photo looks very odd. It looks like pecans and prunes in a bowl, but it is not! It is cherry "crumbler" (can be made with any fruit, a bit of butter, a drizzle of honey, a dash of cinnamon, a squeeze of lemon, a handful of nuts and a sprinkling of granola. Put in an oven safe dish and bake at 350 degrees until golden and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes).

Husband has been reading Eat Right For Your Blood Type (he's A positive), and it says no to red meat unless it's super lean. Hence, the bison. I marinated it in Worcestershire sauce and sliced onion and cooked it rare.

I served it with a vegetable gratin-carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and spinach mixed with tofu cheese, tofu cream cheese and a bit of pureed red pepper dip (why not?). I topped it with some crushed Cheez Its and baked it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
