Versailles!

Finally.  You've heard me talk about it for months.  And now it has been had.  The pictures soooo do not do it justice.  My apologies.

I had a very productive day and was in such a good mood I decided to go out in rush hour traffic and drive across town for this chicken.  

It's from a Cuban restaurant.  The chicken is deeply, darkly roasted so that the bones are crunchy and kind of melt away.  The sauce is intense with lemon and garlic.  It is served with sweet fried plantains and savory, slightly smoky black beans.  It is the perfect meal, and it is way too much food and I eat it all happily.

Sigh.  My breath will stink until about 2pm tomorrow.  So don't try to kiss me until then!
