Ok, so I figured you're wondering why I eat mostly the same thing every meal.  The short version is I am convinced if I eat something other than the ritual meal and I don't feel completely satisfied, I will eat the ritual foods immediately after eating the other food and then I will become fat.  Yes, yes, judge away.

The good news is that the ritual foods have gotten way healthier and include things like protein.  I've come a long way from 94% fat-free microwave popcorn, broccoli and a pear I would slice into slivers and dip into kosher salt.  The broccoli is the only remnant of those years.

Yes, I am oh so controlling and it shows up in the food.  Thank God I have my husband to make food for.
