New Year's Eve

The spread (with not a fruit plate or veggie tray in sight): fried green beans, chilled shrimp, sweet and sour meatballs, fried chicken cups stuffed with either caramelized onions, bbq, spinach dip or sun dried tomato and feta, spanikopita, and homemade stromboli.

These were surprisingly good. They tasted just like fried zucchini.

The stromboli was the winner. Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, yellow peppers, onions all encased in homemade dough. So freaking yummy. I had six pieces and hit the gym for a nice long cardio circuit the day after. Totally worth it.

  2. Happy 2009 to you, Miss V! Yes, vegan stromboli is so totally possible. If you've got good dough and a good marinara for dipping, you're 80% there! xoxo
