Another burrito and Darya

Another burrito for my baby. New kind of shredded tofu cheese. And lots of raw and cooked veggies. He's been on a salad kick.

Two wonderful friends wanted to take us out to a pre-wedding celebratory dinner as they will be in Prague for the actual occasion. We went to a Persian restaurant just around the corner from where we live. Delish new experience. We started with a crunchy rice cake that we dipped in this amazing sauce made from walnuts and pomegranates. Sounds crazy. Tasted other worldly.
Simple salad of cucumber, tomato, onion, parsley dressed with olive oil and lemon juice.

The tenderest lamb shank in natural juices. The rice. Covered in dill with cooked lima beans. Topped with saffron rice. Sounds ew? LOVED IT. And I don't even like rice. Or dill! Magicians. I was craving it the next day.

This chicken was pretty special, too. Savory, juicy, like one big, long chicken meatball. We are so ordering from them. Like, weekly.

  1. Oooh, that looks good. I will have to try that place. I also like Pistachio Grill on Wilshire near La Cienega if for Iranian food. If you ever make it to this side of the 405, I recommend it.
